Super Bomberman R 2: The Bomberman brothers are back

Konami has officially announced that Super Bomberman R 2 will be released in 2023. A first trailer can be seen here.

The Bomberman brothers are back in Super Bomberman R 2. The game will be released in 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC via Steam.

Konami has also announced the addition of the new “Castle” mode for standard battles and 64-player battle royale. There is a first foretaste in the trailer for Super Bomberman R 2:

An explosive new “Story” mode

The single-player story mode takes players on a brand new adventure. A mysterious danger lurks on the horizon. Can the Bomber Brothers and their new friends save the universe and keep the peace?

New mode “Castle”

In the new battle mode “Castle” players fight for treasures! Players will be divided into two teams: the “attack side” aiming to capture the treasures on the stage, and the “castle side” protecting the treasures!

In “Castle” mode you can create your own battle stadiums. You can also upload your created stages with blocks and gimmicks online. How to share your own stadiums with players all over the world!

Battle Mode “Standard”

Enjoy the familiar Bomberman playstyle in Battle Mode. Just have fun with friends, family or online in exciting Bomberman battles!

Grand Prix battle mode

Team battles with up to 3 players. Collect “crystals” or fight for the number of “defeats” but pay attention because teamwork is the key to victory and be careful not to get caught in the blast of your teammates.

Battle 64 combat mode

An exciting Battle Royale with “64 players” awaits you here. This battle mode is carried over from Super Bomberman R Online. Fight the rivals in the increasingly narrow territory and grab Bomber One.
