This Shin-chan game for PS4 and Switch has something from Animal Crossing and comes to us too

The summer holidays with Shin-Chan are now starting with us!

The days are getting longer and the temperatures are rising drastically. Many are currently going on summer vacation or just taking a vacation to catch up on video games that were left behind. In line with the current season, a new title will soon be released in which we can start the summer holidays with the well-known anime character Shin-Chan. What seems a bit bizarre at first glance seems to be a true relaxation game.

Publishers Neos Corporation and developer studio Millennium Kitchen announced that Shin-chan’s latest video game adventure with the very long title Shin-Chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation – The Endless Seven-Day Journey will appear in the coming weeks.

When is the game out? Those responsible updated the publication August. Unfortunately, it is not known on which exact day we can expect the adventure. The title will be released for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.

The development team kept its word when it came to a possible localization. The game was first announced in the Japanese Nintendo Direct in February 2021, but only for Japan. When asked if the game would also be released in Germany, a member of the development team replied that he would do his best.

Why is? Shin-chan’s father, Hiroshi Nohara, has to go to Kyushu on a business trip. That is of course reason enough for the entire Nohara family to spend their summer vacation in Assou, which is located there. Instead of Poo-Boogie-Woogie and the Onion Squeezer, expect an unexpected summer outing.

Arriving in Assou, Shin-Chan receives a strange camera that he can use to record his summer vacation. The landscape of Assou offers a lot of idyll and numerous relaxed activities that we know from other life simulations like Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

What can I do? In Shin-Chan: Me and the Professor on Summer Vacation – The Endless Seven-Day Journey, we can do many relaxing activities. Armed with the landing net and fishing rod, for example, we hunt all kinds of insects and fish and can catalog them.

We can also grow vegetables at Kurokami Farm and deliver them to the various shops around town to earn some pocket money. A relaxed summer holiday also includes morning gymnastics and an evening bath with the family.

The Assou area can be explored freely. With the help of the camera, the snapshots can be recorded in a photo diary or used as hot news from the area for the local news agency. Dinosaur fights and DJ sessions are also among the crazier activities that we hardly find in other relaxed life sims.
