Modders are getting Half-Life 2 running on the Switch - and it's all thanks to Portal

Arkane supernatural shooter Redfall has received a new trailer to welcome you to the world of the game. Appropriately, the video is titled “Welcome to Redfall” and aims to introduce the community to the upcoming action game, which is slated for release in 2023.

Arkane are the creators of games like Prey and Dishonored, but now Redfall is venturing into a new open-world franchise of the same name. In the fantasy shooter, you face vampire hordes invading an island in the first-person perspective – impressions of it is in the new trailer.

The game moves along a story that you can play alone or in co-op with up to four people. However, as Arkane emphasizes, the focus is primarily on offering a good single-player experience.

According to a lengthy blog post about the upcoming game, “A big focus of Redfall is the solo experience, true to Arkane’s passions,” said Arkane’s Harvey Smith. The studio also explains the gameplay of the shooter: “Redfall is an open-world game, but it can be played with each of the heroes alone.”
