Starting tomorrow in Pokémon GO there will be a global challenge that you should definitely complete

In Pokémon GO, starting tomorrow, July 1st, you can participate together in a global challenge that you should definitely complete. We at MeinMMO have looked at what this is about and why the task is worthwhile for you.

What is the task? At the weekend, from July 1st to 3rd, the big GO Fest will take place in Berlin. To commemorate this live event, Pokémon GO will unlock a special global challenge for you.

This is a task that you as a community must accomplish together. And you should definitely try that. We will show you below why this can be worthwhile for you.

The global challenge for the GO Fest in Berlin

What do you have to do? Together with other trainers around the world, you should defeat Team GO Rocket members as part of the global challenge. However, it is not yet known how many there must be. As soon as this information is available, we will add it to this article.

Who can participate? Unlike the other bonuses during the GO Fest in Berlin, all trainers worldwide can participate in the global challenge. So no event ticket is required and you don’t have to be in Berlin to do so.

How much time do you have for this? The task starts for all players on July 1st at 09:00 German time. You can solve the challenge until July 3rd at 6:00 p.m. German time.

That’s why the global challenge is worth it

If you complete the global challenge in time, you can earn additional hyper bonuses for the upcoming event. In previous years, you were able to secure these hyper bonuses for the GO Fest and then received a separate event for them. Pokemon GO 2022 changed that.

This gives you multiple opportunities to earn these bonuses and use them to upgrade other events. In addition, you can benefit from an additional bonus during the Berlin GO Fest if you complete the task before the scheduled end. Enjoy the following bonuses:

• double Stardust when defeating Team GO Rocket, for the remaining time of the challenge
• additional bonus for the anniversary event from July 6th to 12th
• additional bonus for the battle weekend of July 9th – 10th

What could these bonuses be? At the GO Fest at the beginning of June you could already earn a hyper bonus for the adventure week. This brought you an additional research day with Koknodon and Schilterus, where you could also meet the two new monsters Balgoras and Amarino in the wild. And an encounter with Unown F was also made possible for you at this event in Raids.

The cover photo of the anniversary event indicates the silhouette of Grillmak. This Pokémon is making its Shiny debut during GO Fest in Berlin and is available to ticket holders for the first time. So it’s possible that if you complete the global challenge, you’ll all get access to Shiny Grillmak.

However, these are only speculations. What additional content will actually be made available to you for the anniversary event and the battle weekend remains to be seen for the time being.

Are there any other bonuses for all trainers during the GO Fest in Berlin?

Yes, the Global Challenge isn’t the only bonus being released to all Trainers during GO Fest in Berlin. So if you don’t have an event ticket, you can still look forward to the following bonuses from July 1st, 9:00 a.m. to July 3rd, 6:00 p.m. German time:

• Selection of wild spawns, which are also available at the GO Fest in Berlin
• Collector’s Challenge

However, it is not yet known which Pokémon will spawn exactly and which of them you will need for the collector’s challenge.
