WoW: “Ahead of the times” success only until Season 4 – more mausoleum nerfs are coming
When the fourth season starts in WoW on August 3, 2022, it will no longer be possible to earn achievements such as “Ahead of the Curve” or “Frontrunner” in the Mausoleum of the First. So that as many players as possible can do this by then, Blizzard has already prepared further nerfs.
When a new raid opens its doors in WoW, it also affects the previous raid. Often the mount from the mythical final boss is no longer a guaranteed drop and the feats “ahead of the times” and “front runner” for which you have to defeat the final boss in heroic or mythical mode are gone forever.
With the start of Season 4 in WoW, which begins on August 3, 2022 (buy now )while there is no new raid, Blizzard dealt with the upgrading of the previous raids through affixes just as much as a completely new raid would come to the live server. This means that starting August 3rd, you will no longer be able to earn the two coveted Feats of Strength. So you have just over four weeks to defeat the Jailer in Heroic or Mythic mode.
More nerfs coming
In order for as many guilds as possible to defeat Zovaal by this date, Blizzard will intervene again and bring a whole range of other nerfs to the live servers. At least that’s what the developers announced in a post. It says that more boss balancing adjustments are in the works to ensure more guilds achieve the feat. Because the number of successful guilds is currently significantly smaller than in previous raid tiers.

Yes, we intend to close the current raiding tier for achievements such as Ahead of the Curve with the weekly reset the week of August 2.
We have additional tuning in the works, with a focus on the end encounters of Sepulcher. We know that currently far fewer guilds are on track to get Cutting Edge in particular than in past tiers and we want to address that in the coming weeks, before Season 3 ends.
What kind of nerfs will be remains unclear for the time being. But the developers want to focus on the end boss Zovaal. Whether the devs continue to weaken and simplify individual mechanics in a targeted manner, or work towards the end of the tier with massive nerfs in the form of general debuffs or the like – we’ll have to wait and see. It shouldn’t be too long before the nerfs are officially announced.
