Why Treyarch’s new Call of Duty won’t come until 2024

Nothing has been confirmed yet, but there are increasing indications that we can only expect a new Call of Duty offshoot in 2024. According to information from Bloomberg, this means the first break for the historic series after more than 20 years. It said: “Bloomberg claims that the decision was made as a result of the failure to meet expectations of Call of Duty: Vanguard. It is said to have nothing to do with the acquisition by Microsoft.”

However, one should not remain idle until the new Call of Duty in 2024 in the continuation of existing titles. It would be conceivable that Modern Warfare 2 could be expanded with fresh content over time, until the time comes next year.
