Genshin Impact: Diluc and Fischl present their fancy new skins!

At the weekend there was a lot to see in the live presentation for Genshin Impact about the upcoming update 2.8: In July, in addition to a new banner and fresh events, there will also be two new skins for Diluc and Fischl, which they present like models in the new trailer.

At the fashion show in the trailer, the two show you the two coveted new looks from Teyvat: two elegant outfits from Mondstadt that you can secure in July. In stylish black and red, fire swordsman Diluc gets the hot new style “Red Dead of Night”, which is both elegant and darkly combative.

According to the description in the video, it is a robe that Diluc wears during covert actions and is intended to resemble a dancing flame. As part of this, Diluc also demonstrates his combat skills in the video and thus earns a small gameplay preview – as one of the first characters in Genshin, the good guy didn’t get a preview trailer when he came into play.

Your Highness Fischl is now also getting a bright purple princess dress with a crown. It’s about time, too, because she’s a noble after all…or at least she says she is. You can also earn the new skin for the Princess of Condemnation within an event without spending any real money.

What do Fischl and Diluc have to do with each other? Well, both have a bird, literally. The fact that Fischl is now returning with a new skin is also due to the plot of version 2.8.

Fischl’s character hasn’t been very relevant in last year’s updates, lacking dialogue in the major plot lines, nor has it been themed. Now the electro-archer with the eccentric character is back in the new update and also in the story around the version “Summer! Night? Fantasy!” included. In it she meets compatriot Mona, but interestingly also the wandering samurai Kaedehara Kazuha, who as a resident of Inazuma has not really come into contact with Fischl.
