A mobile game for Destiny? Bungie is reportedly working on it with NetEase

According to reports, Bungie is working with Chinese tech and gaming giant NetEase on a Destiny mobile game that is said to have been in development for two years.

The Game Post claims to have found “an unannounced FPS mobile game” on the LinkedIn profile of a NetEase game artist. A source said to be familiar with NetEase’s plans also confirms that the two developers have been working on the project for over two years.

This project should not be a direct mobile version of Destiny 2, but an independent game.

NetEase has been a minority shareholder in Bungie since 2018 and has invested $100 million in the Destiny developer. In January 2022, Sony announced that it would take over the studio for $3.6 billion.

By 2025, Bungie itself has plans to launch at least one entirely new IP.
