CoD Modern Warfare 2: Beta will probably run in September – everything about the start, participation and content
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will be released on October 28th and lets you test the shooter beforehand. What is already known about the beta, when it starts and what leaks are in circulation, we collect for you here on MeinMMO.
First of all: We currently know very little about the beta. It is already certain that there will be a beta. In addition, players on the PlayStation get early access again due to the cooperation between Sony and the CoD developers.
Due to the leak of a supposed insider, however, the times for the beta phase are now known. This is the best time for us to inform you about the status of the beta. If there is new or official information, we will update the article accordingly.

Please note: The information about the start times in the article is based on unconfirmed leaks. The leaker “@RalphsValve” on Twitter is considered very reliable when it comes to CoD MW2, but things can change or the information is simply wrong. Therefore, take the information with a certain skepticism.
CoD Modern Warfare 2: Beta – Launch, Content, Participation
There is no official date yet. But the notorious leaker @RalphsValve has betrayed the data and is considered to be very accurate with his leaks of Modern Warfare 2 (via whatifgaming.com). He names the following beta times:
Weekend 1: PlayStation only
– Early Access: 15.09. until 17.09.
– Open Beta: 09/17 – 09/19.
Weekend 2: All platforms
– Early Access: 22.09. – 24.09.
– Open Beta: 24.09. – 26.09.
The first weekend is only for PlayStation players who can participate on PS4 and PS5.
The second weekend will see the addition of the other supported platforms: Xbox One, Xbox Series, Steam, and Battle.net Launcher.
In the “Open Beta” phases, you can simply download the beta from your respective shop for free.
The only reliable way is to pre-order. With every version you pre-order, you get exclusive access to the Early Access phases.

However, for the first weekend you really only get into the beta with a PlayStation. There’s no point in pre-ordering either.
Keep an eye on the official Call of Duty social media channels – especially Twitter and Instagram. Just before the start of the beta, the developers are happy to give away lots of codes to participate in early access.
Otherwise you will get keys/codes for the beta via the physical edition of Modern Warfare 2. Each CD packaging also provides you with a key.
If things play out like they’ve done over the past few years, you’ll get a decent bite of multiplayer content. The Vanguard beta offered about 6 modes on 4 maps.
However, there is still no official information about the content of the beta.
