Rockstar: GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption remaster canceled according to insiders
Rockstar Games is one of the largest game developers in the world. The American studio has teamed up with the enormous quality made a name for himself with his games. But the development of these titles always takes time comparatively long. Many fans therefore wish in the meantime remasters from older games. These are cheaper to develop and less time-consuming.
Especially that 2008 published GTA IV and the 2010 published Red Dead Redemption are very popular. Again and again there were rumors that such new editions are actually already in the works. A well-known insider is now putting a stop to this.
Rockstar does not remaster GTA IV and RDR
The news is from Tez2, which has proven to be well connected in the past. According to his information, such were remaster versions internally discussed several times. In the end, however, they decided against it.
Apparently, the two titles didn’t get past the concept phase. Contrary to what was reported several times, it was actually never worked on the games. The reason for this could therefore be a failed attempt.
Is the GTA Trilogy to blame?
In November last year you brought with you GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Remaster for three titles of the series on the market. Fans were able to get in again GTA 3, GTA: San Andreas and GTA: Vice City overthrow. Unfortunately they could remasters the high expectations not fulfill.
The versions were technically weak and seemed carelessly implemented. The media echo fell accordingly disappointed from like the reaction of the fans. This weak reception is said to have led to the studio not having any further remasters want to do.
