Neither Suda51 nor James Gunn are involved in the Lollipop Chainsaw game remake.

The hack-and-slash Lollipop Chainsaw is getting a full-fledged remake next year. Yesterday we reported that Yoshimi Yasuda is working on the implementation with his new studio Dragami Games.

While many members of the original Grashopper Manufacture team are also involved in the remake, Suda51 and James Gunn will not be involved in the remake.

Giochi Suda better known by the nickname Suda51 was the creative director of the original game. He shared via Twitter that he is not involved in the project, nor is filmmaker James Gunn. Grasshopper Manufacture would also have nothing to do with the remake.

James Gunn himself said of the remake that he is neither for nor against. At the same time, he made it clear that nobody had spoken to them about it and that he could not say anything about it.
