The time has come: God of War Ragnarök finally has a fixed release date

After many rumours, the launch date for God of War Ragnarök is finally set. At the end of June, fans were asked to be patient and only a few days later the good news came.

Kratos story continues in November

God of War Ragnarök will be released later this year – on November 9, 2022 to be precise. The information comes from Sony’s new cinematic trailer.

At the same time, a video for the various collector’s editions of the game was also released. In the description of the video, Sony also announces the release date that fans have been waiting for for so long.

You can pre-order the game for PS4 and PS5 from July 15th. In addition to the perfectly normal edition of God of War Ragnarök, there is also a Collector’s and a Jötnar Edition whose contents are presented in the video by Santa Monica’s Studio Art Director Rafael Grassetti and Thor actor Ryan Hurst.

More on God of War Ragnarok:

Besides the game there are fancy dice, figures, an art book and more in a wooden shrine with many compartments and some secrets. Even Thor’s hammer is included. Several downloadable contents are also included in the packages.

Here they are with the unpacked contents of the two God of War Ragnarök Collector’s Editions.

The Collector’s Edition includes wooden dice and figures, a steel book and of course the game for PS4 and PS5. There are also skins for Kratos, Atreus and some weapons as well as the digital soundtrack, a PlayStation theme and a digital art book. The big surprise awaits inside the shrine. Here you will find Thor’s hammer.

The Jötnar Edition also includes the same downloadable content as well as the wooden figures and white dice. A pin set, the legendary Draupnir ring in a red velvet pouch, a cloth map of Yggdrasil, and the physical soundtrack. Of course, Thor’s big hammer shouldn’t be missing here either.
