Martha Is Dead is set in Tuscany, Italy in 1944 as the conflict between German and Allied forces escalates. The story follows Giulia, the young daughter of a German soldier, who investigates the death of her twin sister, Martha. Blurring the lines between reality, superstition and wartime tragedy, Martha Is Dead has garnered critical acclaim around the world since its release in February this year.

“It’s an honor for Martha Is Dead to be recognized among some of the biggest studios, minds and games in the Italian video game industry,” said Luca Dalco, Founder and Director of LKA. “Winning this award really makes the development journey worthwhile, thank you.”

“Martha Is Dead is a revolutionary game that tells an important story and we are proud to be recognized among many notable Italian games and studios,” comments Leo Zullo, Managing Director at Wired Productions. “I’m so proud of Luca and the LKA team, who really deserve this award after five years of development.”
