Blizzard, hear us! WoW fans request schedule for WotLK Classic

WoW: These are the most popular classes in Mythic Plus dungeons!

Are you one of the WoW fans who see the start of WotLK Classic because they finally want to leave for Northrend – or are you one of the WoW fans who want to use the remaining time until the release to prepare optimally? Then you are not alone. Many Classic fans who have played through Burning Crusade have been wondering for some time when the Lich King will finally be able to get to grips with it.

Officially, all we know is that WotLK Classic is scheduled to launch in 2022. Beta phase 2 is currently underway. And numerous WoW fans are already calculating when a release of WotLK Classic is currently possible, makes sense. It’s rumored to be in September 2022, but that’s not an official statement from Blizzard. And that’s starting to make those waiting a little nervous.

Please give us clarity!

WoW fan bagstone takes his request for a clear sign from the developers to Reddit, hoping someone at Blizzard will read along. “Dear Blizzard, please give us a proper warning of the WotLK release date. Thank you,” he writes, explaining in his post that the latest releases for Burning Crusade Classic have appeared quite suddenly and with almost no warning. “Does anyone know if Blizzard has realized that players who play Classic also have a job or a life and want to take some time off and need more than a week or two of lead time to do so? I know there’s a lot of conjecture and rumor about when the pre-patch and WotLK might be out, but for booking your annual leave you want a little more certainty than an estimate on Twitch or Reddit…”

It’s not unusual for players to plan a little vacation time for a WoW release, or for a World First Race if you’re one of the top raid guilds. And accordingly, it would be very friendly on the part of Blizzard if they communicated releases openly, regardless of whether they were content patches or extensions or classic versions, and perhaps with more than two to four weeks in advance.
