FF7R Theme PS4 PS Store

Final Fantasy VII Remake is behind us, the second part of the remake trilogy follows. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth should already appear at the end of 2023 and not even four years after the first part. Square Enix has meanwhile confirmed that we are talking about a trilogy here. So it will three remake parts give.

More information has recently come to light, as thanks to the latest interview that Tetsuya Nomura and Yoshinori Kitase conducted with the Famitsu, we now get a deeper insight into the current situation behind the scenes.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth: How does this work with the trilogy?

So the producers have now revealed that they are already with Work started on the third part to have. The plot and scenario for part 3 are already being prepared, while work on the second part is in full swing.

Not only that. They reassure fans with a few words about the scope. Much like how they developed Midgar to make the spirit of the original capturing them will continue in Rebirth as well.

Long-established fans of “Final Fantasy VII” should be satisfied with Rebirth. They want to guarantee that by using the second part “massive” in terms of scope raise. And that sounds like we’re talking about an open world after all? That should be revealed “soon”.

And yes, the question about that girth and thinning they think is justified. But can Final Fantasy VII really be squeezed into three parts?

Kitase and Nomura believe that the story of the original in three major parts pass. You will be loud statements do not delete anything from the template. Some parts will only be one slightly changed (more on this here).

And how does it work that the Parts released in quick succession will? This is partly due to the lower effort. They confirm again in the Famitsu report that they most 3D character models from Final Fantasy VII Remake. Only minor adjustments as with Yuffie’s model are made. In addition, wide System parts of the first game taken over for the successors.

Nice to know: There is one small side note at the end. Unsurprisingly, they confirmed that the Scene with Cloud and Sephiroth actually represents a flashback scene. But did we already know that?

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released in late 2023 for the PS5.
