PlayStation Store: users will lose access to hundreds of purchased movies and series

Many users in Germany and Austria will soon lose access to hundreds of films and series that they have purchased digitally.

The digital collection of films and series from the PlayStation Store will soon shrink quite a bit for some users from Germany and Austria.

Because Sony announced that users will lose access to hundreds of films and series that come from Studio Canal.

More than a year ago, Sony announced that it would stop buying and renting films and series. At that time, however, it was said that access to already purchased content would be retained.

That no longer seems so. On August 31, 314 films in Germany and 137 films in Austria will be removed from users’ libraries due to licensing agreements with content providers.
