PUBG: Battlegrounds will receive new graphics options for Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One S|X later this July.

The battle royale shooter PUBG: Battlegrounds will receive a major new update in July. We previously reported that the new map, Deston, will also premiere on consoles on July 21st.

But the game also gets new graphics options on consoles. And not only the current generation of consoles is taken into account. The developer has addressed the thorny issue of PUBG’s memory usage and worked with platform operators to optimize the gaming experience.

The performance and possibilities of the respective consoles were taken into account, which results in different settings depending on the model.

Krafton writes on his website: “Since we want to offer players the same graphics quality on all consoles, there may be stability problems. That’s why we’ve provided different options to set the maximum frame rate and resolution for each console to ensure a stable gaming experience at all times.”

With the release of Update 18.2 on July 21st, the following new graphics options will be available:

• Xbox Series X
• Xbox Series S
• Xbox One X
  • “Resolution Priority” option
    • The option is displayed regardless of the monitor.
  • “Frame Priority” option
    • The option is displayed regardless of the monitor.
• Xbox One S
• PlayStation 5
• PlayStation 4 Pro
  • “Resolution Priority” option
    • The option only appears on monitors with 4K support.
  • “Frame Priority” option
    • The option only appears on monitors with 4K support.
• PlayStation 4 Slim
• “Antialiasing” option
  • Due to issues with TAA ghosting, an option to change FXAA/TAA has been implemented.
  • This option only appears on devices with TAA updates (Xbox Series X, Xbox One X, PS5, PS4 Pro).
