Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown fans are unhappy with the new trailer

A new trailer for the racing game Test Drive Unlimited: Solar Crown is causing dissatisfaction among fans.

Nacon released it last night as part of its Nacon Connect live stream, but there’s not much to see in it.

Gameplay desperately wanted

The approximately 54-second video consists mainly of graphics and dialogues that deal with the bond between a driver and his vehicle.

Only at the very end can something be seen for about nine seconds that could go in the direction of a gameplay excerpt. Although not really representative.

The reactions of the waiting fans are correspondingly negative. There hasn’t been any gameplay footage or screenshots since it was announced in 2020. Most recently, the September 2022 release was pushed back to 2023 and the last-gen versions were canceled.

“Waiting a year to see just a minute-long trailer with no gameplay is an instant red flag,” commented one YouTube user. Another adds: “I was expecting gameplay and a demonstration of game modes, number of vehicles, map, etc. I got a trailer that says nothing.”

“It’s okay if the game takes time, but there’s no need to hype people up for it,” wrote a third user. “What’s that even supposed to be? If there’s actually something to show, then show it. We’ll wait for it.”
