This October it’s time and the anime hit bleach returns for its final arc after over ten years. To fuel the fans’ anticipation a little further, recently a new trailer published, paving the way for the great Thousand Year Blood War prepared.

In the final Bleach arc, the Shinigami and Quincy are at war

The video opens with an excerpt from the manga: it says the trapped one Quincy King Yhwach obtain after 900 years his pulse again. After another 90 years, his mind return and his strength finally after another nine years. The monarch then only needs nine days to take back the world completely.

Our protagonist Ichigo and his friends in the Soul Societyhome of the Shinigami (gods of death), hard times are ahead. The Quincylong thought to be nearly extinct, return with their king, to destroy the Shinigami once and for all. After the declaration of war all hell breaks loose and Ichigo & Co. are of course right in the middle of it.

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War is created like the previous anime series in the Studio Pierrot (“Naruto”). Fans expected by the way not a 1:1 adaptation of the manga template. As creator Tite Kubo recently revealed (via comic books), some open questions of the original in the anime should be clarified.

Directing this time Tomohisa Taguchi (“Digimon Adventure: Last Evolution Kizuna”). In addition, various key members of the old “Bleach” team are returning for the new anime series. This includes in addition to character designers Masashi Kudo (“Bleach”) also a composer Shiro Sagisu (“Bleach”).

Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War will air on Japanese TV October 2022 start. An exact date is not yet available. It is also currently unclear whether fans are in other parts of the world with a simulcast are allowed to count.
