Amazon Prime Day free games: Mass Effect Legendary, Grid Legends, NfS Heat and three times Star Wars
Not only Epic Games, Steam and GoG can give away cool games, Amazon is also throwing well-known titles among the people on Prime Day: from midnight and only until Wednesday evening.
We all know it: Amazon is throwing the Prime Day 2022 bargain party on Tuesday and Wednesday. But what maybe not everyone knows: There is also something free, at least if you are a member of Amazon Prime.
Mass Effect Legendary, GRID Legends, NfS Heat
Amazon promises more than 30 games, but to be honest, it’s six games that are likely to generate the most interest. The first three are Mass Effect Legendary, GRID Legends, NfS Heat. Yes, the Legendary Edition of Mass Effect is of course actually three games, namely Mass Effect 1 to 3 in revised versions with all DLCs from May 2021. The package is currently available on Steam for 60 euros and the approval rate is gigantic at 93 percent. There comes joy. The notice is still missing on the Prime Gaming site.
Grid Legends might not be the best game in the pot, but it is the newest. The last part of the Codemasters Grid series only started on February 24th, 2022, i.e. a good five months ago. The mixture of arcade and simulation with story mode was not so well received by the fans. But as a free game, Grid Legends is certainly not a bad choice. This should also apply to Need for Speed Heat, which is the latest part of the series alongside NfS Hot Pursuit Remastered and has been available since November 2019. The title has 85 percent approval on Steam. Players can engage in police chases and lose everything or gain reputation in the process.
Three Star Wars free
If you are interested in the three free Star Wars games, you have to beam yourself back to the 2000s, because the free offer does not include any (halfway) current titles like Jedi Fallen Order or Battlefront 2, but classics like Star Wars: Jedi Knight – Jedi Academy, Star Wars: Jedi Knight 2 – Jedi Outcast and Star Wars: Republic Commando. But Star War is Star Wars and it could be fun to go back to the 2000s and unpack the lightsaber and blaster.
