There are voices on social media portraying him as the murderer of the recently killed ex-prime minister of Japan. Abe died in a shit last week.

A 41-year-old man was arrested at the scene. Some users dug up an old photo of Kojima and claimed it matched the suspect’s picture.

As kotaku reported, the picture of Kojima in connection with the murder of Abe was said to have been shared by a Greek news channel and far-right French politician Damien Rieu.

Kojima Productions tweeted: “Kojima Productions strongly condemns the spread of fake news and rumors that spread false information. We do not condone such slander and will consider legal action in some cases.”
