Steam: wishlist leader Stray with day-one patch

from Julius Bald
The unusual indie adventure Stray will probably receive a day-one patch, which will eliminate numerous problems. For example, there are improvements in navigation and audio during cutscenes. The game will officially release on July 19, 2022.

The following title drew attention right from the first announcement, now the final release of the Jump’n’Run is finally pending: Stray is about a stray cat that makes its way through a metropolis. As we previously reported, the title has become one of the most popular games on Steam, even though it’s not yet released. Stray is currently the front-runner on the Steam community’s wish lists, a very good indicator of interest in a game. Now the question remains whether the title can live up to expectations.

Stray: Day-One patch is about to start

In any case, the developers of BlueTwelve Studio seem intent on guaranteeing the smoothest possible release. Stray has probably already received two new patches that act as a day-one patch, so to speak. Specifically, these are updates 1.01 and 1.02. Patch 1.01 for Stray should take up five to seven gigabytes on the Playstation 5, depending on the respective console, while on the Playstation 4 it is a whopping 12 to 13 gigabytes.

Patch 1.02 is another update that brings numerous improvements. Navigation is said to have been improved in several places, in-game scripts are said to be more robust when the user loads checkpoints, and at the same time audio effects during cutscenes are said to have been optimized. In addition, the general audio mix should now appear much more polished. Stray will be officially released on July 19, 2022 for PC, Playstation 4 and Playstation 5.
