According to current rumors, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still in development and external playtesting will start later this month. At the same time, in an investor conference, Ubisoft names the action-adventure as part of the upcoming games pipeline. The title was originally announced at E3 2017.

In a question and answer session at an investor conference, Ubisoft stated that Beyond Good and Evil 2 is one of the titles that has already been announced and should be part of the future game pipeline. By the way: Beyond Good and Evil 2 was announced in 2017 together with Skull & Bones, which was also in development forever and should finally be released this November.
The usually well-informed journalist Tom Henderson also claims to have learned from several sources that external playtesting for Beyond Good and Evil 2 is scheduled to start later this month. In addition, from a report (via exporter) that the action-adventure has now been in development for almost nine years. In September 2022, Ubisoft plans to hold a new showcase event, but it remains unclear whether Beyond Good and Evil 2 will finally be represented there again.
