Red Dead Redemption 2 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S has reportedly been cancelled
Rockstar Games has reportedly abandoned, or at least put on hold, plans to release PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Red Dead Redemption 2.
At least that’s what insider Tez2 claims, who has often leaked relevant information about Rockstar Games in the past.
Not the only project on the siding
Tez2 had already claimed last week that remasters of GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption were planned a few years ago. But these are now off the table.
“Yeah, I heard about that a long time ago,” Tez2 replied when asked by a Twitter user about Red Dead Redemption 2 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
More on the subject:
“As well as their plan to develop an improved Rockstar editor. All cancelled/stopped.”
The information from Tez2 on GTA 4 and Red Dead Redemption had kotaku supported by a separate report. The reason for all this is said to be that Rockstar is said to be fully focused on Grand Theft Auto 6.
A few days ago, the developer studio announced that GTA 6 is currently receiving the majority of the attention and therefore no new content can be expected for Red Dead Online.
Per Tez2, it doesn’t look like Rockstar Games wants to ship out a new enhanced version of #RedDeadRedemption2 for next-gen consoles anytime soon.
