Red Dead Redemption 2: Version for Xbox Series X | S and PS5 reportedly discontinued

According to new rumors, Red Dead Redemption 2 will not receive an update for the current generation of consoles.

Again and again there were rumors about an Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5 update for the cowboy adventure Red Dead Redemption 2. Although Rockstar Games has not yet officially announced this step, this step seemed almost certain.

Now the Rockstar insider claims Tez2which recently also reported on the postponement of plans for remaster versions of Red Dead Redemption and Grand Theft Auto 4, that a planned Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5 version of Red Dead Redemption 2 was discontinued.

Work on other versions of the Rockstar Editor is said to have been stopped in order to be able to focus the company’s full attention on Grand Theft Auto VI.

It is not known whether there are plans to resume or restart the rumored discontinued projects and discarded plans, possibly after the release of Grand Theft Auto VI.
