The Last of Us Part 1 reaches gold status.

A number of games have already been postponed in 2022, but at least we can now be sure that the next big Sony game is in the towel: As Naughty Dog has now announced, The Last of Us Part 1 has reached gold status.

What does gold status mean? Version 1.0 of The Last of Us remake is now complete and will almost certainly be released on September 2nd, 2022 for PS5. In the remaining time, the developers of Naughty Dog will probably take care of a day one patch.

To celebrate The Last of Us Part 1’s gold status, Naughty Dog has also released a new short trailer in which we get a glimpse of some key scenes. Including Ellie’s meeting with David and the infamous scene where Joel falls into one of Bill’s elaborate traps and has to fight infected people hanging upside down from the ceiling:

In addition, the new edition will use some features of the PS5’s DualSense controller, for example rain falling from the sky should be represented by vibrations of the controller. Thanks to the adaptive triggers, weapons such as bows and revolvers should feel much more realistic. However, we do not yet know what has actually happened in comparison to the original.
