Alan Wake 2: “We will write more”

In the tweet in question, Alan Wake and Clay Murphy, lead writer of Remedy, pose with their writer’s keyboards like playing guitar. Between the two lies a huge stack of paper that almost towers over the authors. Sam Lake explains that the writers have created a story for Alan Wake 2 that has more pages than ever before. “This story is a monster,” Sam Lake proudly proclaims. But the work is far from over: “After a short summer break in this dark place called the Writers’ Room, we will write more.”

Statement gives hope for more

In a previous Alan Wake 2 video update, Sam Lake described the game as the studio’s “first survival horror”. “It’s a new genre and we’re pushing further into the horror aspect, but we also like to explore the depth of the character,” Same Lake explained. Already the first part presented a complex and mysterious, but also convoluted story, which entered the genre of psychological mystery thrillers. The fact that Sam Lake describes the story of the sequel as a monster in terms of quantity should bring tears of joy to the eyes of fans of the Alan Wake series.
