Sekiro 2: Shadow Resurrection is what this fan calls his version of a possible sequel to Shadows Die Twice.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is not only one of the most difficult games out there, but also has a very unique style. Of course, we would like to see this expanded further, with even better graphics. A sequel could deliver all of this – with the Unreal Engine 5. But because there are no announcements or the like, YouTuber Enfant Terrible once again takes his fate into his own hands. The result is wonderfully atmospheric and looks fantastic, but it also sounds like it. Unfortunately, this video of a hypothetical Sekiro 2: Shadow Resurrection is just a fan trailer.

How cool would a sequel to Sekiro be? Fan Trailer in Unreal Engine 5: Yes

That’s what it’s about: The new graphics framework called Unreal Engine 5 has been around for some time now and developers and fans alike are letting off steam with it. That always gives us new cool concept videos like this one. A number of people have teamed up to put together a really cool trailer for a purely hypothetical Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice sequel.

Why all this? From software games are slowly but surely in need of a new graphics engine. Elden Ring, for example, shows this very clearly. Sure, the game is quite impressive and conjures up one or the other atmospheric landscape on the screen. But there could be so much more and possibly a lot of fan dreams could be fulfilled with the Unreal Engine 5.

With any luck, the next From Software game will be based on a more technically advanced graphics engine. With even better luck, it will be a sequel to Sekiro, and this trailer shows what such a project could look like. It creates a good mood with its scenic shots, character studies and the right music.

But be careful, don’t get excited too soon! As I said, this video is just a fan project. There are currently no announcements or indications that a Sekiro 2 would be in development. But there is hope: a new From Software game is almost ready and several others are in the works.

How do you like this Unreal Engine 5 trailer? What should a Sekiro 2 look like for you?
