For Prime Day: The personal shopping column for curious snack fans

All top offers for Amazon Prime Day 2022 at a glance (1)

I think I’m making it a habit now to look through Amazon’s special offers for the most interesting snacks and kitchen ingredients the savings menu has to offer – recently I mean the Easter offers did. As part of Amazon Prime Day this time I dug up things, half of which I didn’t even know existed! Protein powder, vegan calamari rings, protein chips, baconnaise, scattered flowers and snacks by the pallet! Here we go! And here is ours Overview of further recommendations for Prime Day 2022.

protein bars and protein powder

If you want to build muscle mass, you know that it is best to eat more than 100 grams of protein a day. The thing is, sometimes you just can’t do it. And that’s where things like protein bars come in. But if I may be honest: Most of them don’t taste very good. However, these bars cost an incredible amount of money if you buy them individually in the drugstore or in the supermarket. So should you take a look at the offers for Prime Day 2022? I won’t discourage you, but when it comes to protein, I still prefer meat… or wheat protein from the bag. More on that in a moment. First of all, the protein bars from Amazon:

A side note: Always pay attention to the amount of sugar in your protein bars. Because it feels like tons of sugar are thrown in by some manufacturers. Unfortunately, these bars also taste better. Stop sugar ^^

If you don’t manage to consume the daily protein requirement for your muscle mass, you can of course also use whey protein powder (aka whey). However, the same applies here: you have to try out a few things to find products that you like. Because powder can be quite expensive, you should use promotions like Prime Day to get cheap samples. Talk to friends and training buddies about trying out a spoonful or two of a different variety.

Why not try whey as a spread? On Prime Day, Amazon is currently offering, among other things, Weider Whey Protein Choco Creme and a cream from IronMaxx with white chocolate flavor. There are also protein cookies, as well as protein chips (and I wide-eyed tbh).

Prepper assortments and other oddities

Are you passionate about eating lots of Knorr snacks or do you want to store those things just in case? Well, then you can really be helped if you want to make a bargain in bulk. Because there’s really a lot on Prime Day.

I also found some other things in Amazon’s Prime Day program that I find strange – and some that I would like to recommend because I know them!

  • Okay, I’m not going to try this: Vegan Calamari Rings
  • In fact, because I have someone who knows a recipe for a whole wheat bread without flour, I now know that psyllium husks are quite useful, including as a binding agent. By the way, if you want the recipe, let me know!
  • I will not order anything from this collection site. But you can do it if you’re a Barilla fan.
  • The offer for roasted Korean seaweed snacks will expire soon. If you can’t find cheap seaweed snacks during Prime Day, try an Asian store when you come by. Seaweed snacks are actually pretty good!
  • Edible flowers – looks cute, is usually expensive. But buds are a bit cheaper on Prime Day.
  • Eugh … some people take on a lot to lose weight and eat Koniak noodles, among other things. I think it’s pretty awful, but if you’re into it, get the 10-pack of fettuccine right now!
