Lost Ark: New event gives you desired class in the endgame – how it works

If you’re playing Lost Ark, you’ve probably heard of power passes. Now there is a new event that delivers such a pass along with a new express event and aims to lure you back into the game. We at MeinMMO explain how it works.

What is this event? With the upcoming update, on July 20th, Lost Ark will bring another express event into play as well as a new power pass. This time, however, these two elements mesh better than last time.

The mechanics themselves remain the same. The new pass now takes you directly behind the story of Punika and on Gearscore 1,302. The prerequisite for this is that you already have at least one character who was in the game at this point.

If you are then at 1,302, the new express event will intervene and catch you. The “Hyper Express Event” is practically a continuation of the Super Express Event and should help you to overcome the former “dead zone” between 1,302 and 1,370. That’s where many players dropped out, Amazon says.

You then have to complete a few tasks on a kind of checklist and in return you get a lot of upgrade material, with which you can beat yourself to item level 1,370 much more easily. So the July update gives you a character in the real endgame of the MMORPG.

But for the new Legion Raid Vykas you need Gearscore 1,430:

This is how the power pass works: The new Punika Powerpass works exactly as you are used to from the previous ones. The sticking point this time is that you must have completed the story of Punika. This is relatively far advanced in the game. But if you have already done that with one character, the pass gives you a second one.

You will then receive the pass itself via in-game mail as soon as the event starts. If you complete Punika within the event period, you will receive the mail afterwards. If you have the pass in your inventory, you must use it to assign it to your account.

In the character overview of your account, you can then click on a character of your choice that is not yet at level 1,302 and use the power pass directly. You do not have to log in with the character for this. He will then receive Gearscore 1,302 gear, have completed the Punika storyline and all main quests for it.

How the Hyper Express Event works: The new “Hyper Express Event” is based heavily on the previously known Express Event. Again, there are various tasks to be completed that will allow you to collect a lot of rewards. It is currently not known whether there will also be bonus opportunities for upgrading items.

You can activate this event once on any character that has reached Gearscore 1,302. It stays active until you hit item level 1,370. At the last event, you could change the character running the event afterwards, but only because it wasn’t communicated well before the event.

We can assume that this will not be possible this time.

You cannot cancel the event

How long is this going? An exact time span for the event and the power pass is not yet known. However, community manager Roxx has already confirmed in the forum that no new classes will appear within the event period for which you can cancel your event.

Since Lost Ark already announced that it will bring a new class into the game every two months, we can currently assume that the event will end with the September update at the latest. You must therefore choose a class that is currently in the game. The Arcana, which will be released in July, would of course be an option.

What does the event bring? The event is criticized in the Lost Ark forums. Players complain that it doesn’t bring new people into the game. Roxx then replied that that was not the aim of the event either. They wanted to bring back people who had already reached T3 and then stopped. The express event should also be of help to those who never reached the boss Argos.

For hardcore players, it’s simply a gift “old character” that you can play alongside to farm materials. Western players make the least use of these alternate characters of any version of Lost Ark. Here, too, Amazon would like to help, according to Roxx.
