Step by step to publication

The game was first announced by developer Lancarse at the PlayStation State of Play and will be released on Xbox and Nintendo Switch alongside Sony’s consoles. If you’re interested in the title, you can mark September 22nd in your calendar, because that’s when The DioField Chronicle will be released.

To celebrate the announcement of the release date, Square Enix has released a new trailer with new information about the game’s story. Another piece of good news: on August 10th you can get a first impression of the game in the demo.

In the video description below the trailer, Square Enix writes that The DioField Chronicle is a strategy RPG “that immerses players in an epic tale of war and glory with intense real-time tactical combat.”

“In The DioField Chronicle, players will experience Real Time Tactical Battle (RTTB) – a new, deeply strategic, real-time combat system complemented by a dark and compelling storyline,” it continues.

Character design is by Taiki, who worked on Lord of Vermilion III and IV. Isamu Kamikokuryo is responsible for the concept design and can adorn himself with names like Final Fantasy XII and Final Fantasy XIII. Orchestral music is by Game of Thrones composers Ramin Djawadi and Brandon Campbell.
