Games News Podcast 725: The Last of Us, Red Dead Redemption 2

Matthias is back from vacation and takes over the helm of the Games Aktuell podcast again. The crew will be completed this week by Maci and Stefan. In the absence of any major test or preview topics, this time we’re addressing some interesting news topics that have sparked further discussion and controversy. For example, we’re talking about The Last of Us Part 1. The remake is still the subject of lively discussion among fans as to whether it’s really necessary or just a cash crab. Developers are also getting involved in this discussion. Another topic is Rockstar and Red Dead Redemption 2. The western epic is apparently left out by the developers. So there should be no more updates for Red Dead Online and a planned next-gen upgrade also seems to have been discontinued. We also talk about signs of life for Beyond Good & Evil 2 and the future of Assassin’s Creed. Sorry, there are no community posts this week. So write to us, ask questions so we can do another community part next week.
