GPU and CPU Releases: Ryzen 7000, RTX 4000, Raptor Lake and RDNA3 News [Gerücht]

from Oliver Jaeger
The well-known leaker “Greymon55” recently tweeted about the release periods for upcoming hardware innovations from the CPU and GPU segment. It brings new dates for AMD’s Ryzen 7000 CPUs and Radeon RX 7000 GPUs as well as for Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 4000 GPUs and Intel’s Raptor Lake architecture.

The second half of the year is known to bring new generations of popular hardware into play, with graphics cards and processors being the main focus. As far as the year 2022 is concerned, there is currently no definitive information on the release periods, especially for the new GPU architectures Ada/Lovelace on the part of Nvidia and RDNA3 on the part of AMD. Only so far with the CPU presentations is the direction to a certain extent clear.

GPU and CPU releases: September should do the trick

The hardware-affine leaker Greymon55, who is active on Twitter, is now trying to shed light on the product presentations and releases and sees September as a crucial month. According to Greymon55, the presentation of the Ryzen 7000 processors based on Zen 4, codenamed Raphael, will start as early as August. The first products will finally come onto the market in September. In the competition for Intel, Raptor Lake will be officially presented in September, and the first products will be released in October. In the recent past, several tests of engineering samples of the Core i9-13900K have been talked about, which attested the CPU peak values of 5.5 GHz in the clock.

On the GPU side, Greymon55 also has supposedly exclusive information to offer. At Nvidia, everything is being pushed back a little, after all, the remaining graphics cards from the Ampere days still have to be distributed to customers at currently reduced prices. Therefore, according to Greymon55, the AD102 GPU will be presented in September. This will probably be in the Geforce RTX 4090 and should be used in the full version in the Ti version. However, the latter could appear much later, similar to the case with the 3090 Ti.

The leaker sees the market launch of the Ada/Lovelace flagship (RTX 4090) in October 2022. Other GPUs in the group, AD103, -104 and -106, will probably not be available until 2023. Before that, the AD103 and -104 were believed to be one Release 2022. So AMD with RDNA3 is still missing: When asked by a Twitter userWhether the first Radeon RX 7000 cards will be presented in October and released in November, Greymon55 replied that this was very likely. Whether these forecasts will ultimately be correct will probably be shown in autumn and in particular in September, the “key month”.
