Probably the greatest feature of online games is that you play them together with other people. People meet in matches, dungeons, hubs or just in the open world and do things together.

It often happens that they join forces permanently in guilds or clans in order to tackle the content of the online games together. From this, friendships are formed that like to grow beyond the limits of the games.

Again and again you read about how friends who met through online games went out for a beer or coffee in real life. Some even hosted really big gatherings for all guild and clan members.
