Frontier Developments has released a new developer video in which they give fans a behind-the-scenes look at the development. A complex setup with 200 camera lenses was used to insert the drivers into the title as 3D scans.

F1 Manager 2022 is the official Formula 1, Formula 2 and Formula 3 race management simulation game developed by Frontier Developments. The team has now released a new video that provides another behind-the-scenes look at the developers.

Frontier Developments boasts a high level of detail and authenticity in F1 Manager 2022 in the new video. In particular, capturing the driver portraits with modern technology is in the foreground. In order to add Formula 1 drivers to the game, they were filmed on location. Over 200 camera lenses were used to create 3D models of each current driver in the F1 racing series. These intricate driver portraits will then appear on the opening screen when the player selects their team, through the garage before a race, to the podium when celebrating victory.

In the video, Art Director Matt Dickinson explains in detail how the driver scans get into the game. Also speaking, David Braben, CEO of Frontier Developments, explains the importance of authenticity in every aspect of the official F1 management title. Alexander Albon and Zhou Guanyu make an appearance as drivers. If you are interested in F1 Manager 2022, just watch the developer video below.

F1 Manager 2022 is coming to PC on Steam on August 30th. The game will also be released for Playstation 5, Playstation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. Players who pre-order the title will also receive a 10 percent discount on the purchase price and can play it five days early – starting August 25th!
