Geforce RTX 4090: The probably only RTX 4000 in 2022 is supported by AIDA64

With beta version 6.70.6033, AIDA64 now also supports the new Geforce RTX 4090.

The AIDA64 software has received a beta update that supports the new Geforce RTX 4090. Unfortunately, no further details can be found in the changelog for the new version.

Even before a new CPU or GPU generation is released, many programs are updated to support the new products right at the start of sales. This is also currently the case: The benchmark and diagnostic tool AIDA64 is now the first software to officially support Nvidia’s upcoming Geforce RTX 4090.

GPU details (only) for the RTX 4090

According to the changelog of the current beta version of AIDA64 Extreme, version number 6.70.6033, the software now contains GPU information on the Geforce RTX 4090 and thus also on the AD102 GPU used. Unfortunately, there are no more details in the changelog. It is therefore unclear which dates were added to AIDA64.

At least with regard to the release of other graphics cards from the RTX 4000 series, one could speculate through the RTX 4090 support that the other models from Nvidia’s new generation will only be launched on the market with a delay – otherwise one would probably have it directly entered the corresponding GPU details. That would fit with current rumors that the RTX 4090 could become the only RTX 4000 model this year.

In addition, the published changelog suggests that the RTX 4090 is actually the first to appear and no other model. Such assumptions are, of course, highly speculative based solely on a single software update – they should therefore not be taken as certain.

The software update could perhaps provide more concrete details if someone examines the changed program files for newly stored specifications. As far as the technical key data of the RTX 4090 is concerned, the rumor mill is quite unanimous anyway: Currently, the model is assumed to have 16,384 shaders and 24 GB of GDDR6X memory with a TDP of 450 watts.
