Hasbro Selfie Series: action figures with their own faces

from Michael Miskulin
Ever wanted an action figure that has your own personal face? Hasbro now wants to make this possible with the Hasbro Selfie Series. The app scans the buyer’s head and face. The action figures are 152 mm tall and come from the Star Wars, Marvel, Ghostbusters or GI Joe series. The cost is said to be around $60.

Buyers should be able to purchase Hasbro action figures that are equipped with the head and face of the respective customer. Your own head is scanned with an app and then sent to the manufacturer. Hasbro then creates and ships the 152mm action figure with the buyer’s head.

Lego Con: New sets for Star Wars, Doctor Strange & Minecraft presented

These special Hasbro Selfie Series action figures are made possible through a collaboration between Hasbro and 3D printing company Formlabs. You can choose from a selection from the Star Wars, Marvel, Ghostbusters and GI Joe series. When the data is submitted via the app, Formlabs prints the header. Resin is used, which should be kind to the skin and should have a stability like polypropylene. The head is then assembled onto a standard 152mm action figure and shipped to the customer. Such an individual action figure should then cost 60 dollars.

When will action figure fans be able to order their own action figure? You still have to be patient a bit, because the ordering options should not start until autumn 2022. The offer will initially only be available for the US market. Other countries will join later. So that you don’t miss the start here, you can also register for a newsletter on the manufacturer’s website and should then be informed in good time.
