Assassin’s Creed players have been stranded for a while. Now an insider Jason Schreier has revealed the location of the next part.

Montreuil, France – Assassin’s Creed is now arguably one of the biggest brands in video game history. The series had offshoots in different eras and on different platforms, from PC to PlayStation to Nintendo Switch. Since the games no longer appear in the annual cycle, fans have to wait much longer for new parts of the series. There were a few DLCs for “Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla” in between, but of course they weren’t a substitute for a completely new title. The news about the series has been pretty thin lately. At least the setting and the name of the successor to the series now seem to have leaked out.

Assassin’s Creed: New information about the next game surfaced – Jason Schreier chats

It was so quiet about Assassin’s Creed: So far there have only been rumors about where the players will end up with the next offshoot of Assassin’s Creed. For about 15 years, the open-world action series has been set in a different historical era with each part of the series and repeatedly immerses itself in different cultures. However, fans of the series have been waiting for new food for two years. Ever since Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla took us back to the Viking Age in 2020, the franchise has been silent.

  • In 2021, Bloomberg.com reported that a live service Assassin’s Creed was in development at French publisher Ubisoft.
  • The project apparently runs under the name Assassin’s Creed “Infinity” and has taken titles like GTA V or Fortnite as financial models.
  • Ubisoft itself confirmed the existence of the title. But even before that, an earlier offshoot, a new serial part of Assassin’s Creed, should appear

This new info has been leaked: According to industry insider Jason Schreier, the next game in the series, which will be released before “Infinity”, is called “Assassin’s Creed: Rift” and will have Baghdad as the setting.

Where does the information come from? The message came from Jason Schreier, who posted the information under his verified account on Reddit. Schreier is one of the best-known investigative journalists in the international games industry and is considered to be particularly well connected. For example, Schreier uncovered scandals surrounding the launch of Cyberpunk 2077. He has already published two books that deal, among other things, with the poor working conditions in the video game industry.

On Reddit, Jason Schreier also denied the rumor that the new Assassin’s Creed should play in an Aztec setting. Following “Assassin’s Creed: Rift”, “Assassin’s Creed: Infinity” will be released, which will play in several different epochs.

Assassin’s Creed: How the series will continue – we know that

What do we know so far about Assassin’s Creed Rift? Of course, nothing has been officially confirmed yet. Basil is traded as the protagonist, who might be familiar to the players from “Assassin Creed: Valhalla”. Assassin’s Creed: Rift is said to be less extensive than Valhalla and not offer such a large and expansive game world. The title should also focus more on stealth gameplay again. It must be mentioned at this point that all of this information is just speculation and rumors that you should be skeptical about.

When can we expect an official announcement? The next date Ubisoft will provide us with official information about Assassin’s Creed could be as early as September 10th. The publisher announced a showcase presentation for this date. If “Assassin’s Creed: Rift” is actually released this year or next, it is possible that Ubisoft might even have a trailer in its luggage.
