FarmCon 22 is coming up: Fans of Farming Simulator 22 can find out about updates for the game there. Especially the new map and new machines are the focus of most players, but there is also more in the live stream and on site at John Deere in Mannheim.

Publisher and developer of Farming Simulator 22 (LS22), Giants Software, uses its annual FarmCon 22 community event for numerous announcements about Farming Simulator 22. From July 21 to 24, FarmCon 22 will take place as a hybrid event . The event will open with an international live stream on the official Twitch channel on Thursday evening at 8 p.m., followed by a weekend of face-to-face meetings directly at John Deere in Mannheim.

Updates, insider knowledge and new announcements

Giants uses July 21 as a kick-off event and appetizer for the FarmCon 22 weekend: In the approximately two-hour stream, the developers show the progress of their current work and give an overview of what fans can expect this year. Thursday night show highlights:

  • First scenes from the Platinum Expansion with a view of various machines and the new one
  • Map of Silverrun Forest
  • Unveiling of two new packs, both coming later this year
  • Modding-themed feature
  • A view across the pond to Kubota in the US
  • Retrospective on Precision Farming

Interaction and stage program in Mannheim at the weekend

FarmCon 22 will start live from 10:00 a.m. on July 23rd from the John Deere Forum in Mannheim. Giants expects over 700 guests who can look forward to far more detailed lectures and presentations on the topics discussed on Thursday. The mostly German-language stage program will be translated simultaneously by Giants and transported to the world via the official Twitch channel.

For most players, of course, new content for Farming Simulator 22 be the big issue. The focus is on the Silverrun Forest map – the name sounds like a map for the timber industry – and new machines in the Platinum addon. A look at the two DLCs certainly doesn’t hurt either. The first Season Pass has not come without criticism so far, because there were basically only new tractors and machines that don’t make a big difference in the game. The topic of precision farming should also be interesting for advanced hobby farmers.
