Pokémon GO: Trainers suspect one of the best dragon attackers for Community Day in August

In Pokémon GO, C-Day with Staralili has just ended, so there are already suspicions about Community Day in August. We at MeinMMO have looked at which monsters are very popular with the trainers.

What kind of event is it? Every month, a Community Day takes place in Pokémon GO, where a specific monster is the focus for 3 hours. So you could meet the normal and flying Pokémon Staralili on July 17th.

But as is well known, after Community Day is before Community Day, which is why the trainers on reddit are already thinking about what kind of Pokémon they can expect on August 13th. We’ll show you below which monsters the trainers suspect.

The trainers suspect this dragon in the next C-Day

Even though the date for Community Day in August has been known for some time, Niantic is still reluctant to provide official information about the content. Therefore, the trainers on reddit insist on speculating about the possible candidates.

There you can find several posts on this topic, in which one monster in particular is mentioned again and again: Dratini.

Why do the coaches suspect Dratini? The reason for the assumption is, among other things, a vote that Niantic carried out before the pandemic. For three C-Days in 2020, you could choose between four Pokémon each with a special event attack and thus determine which monster you want to see in it.

As the reddit user skewtr shows in his post, most of the monsters that lost the vote received their own Community Day after 2020. Only Dratini, Squirtle, (Alola) Sleima and Caterpillar are open.

That’s why it’s clear to some trainers that at some point it’s Dratini’s turn and they already suspect the Pokémon for Community Day in August.

Reactions from the coaches: Also the user ItsArk has according to his reddit post heard the first hints about a Dratini event and writes: “There are rumors that the next community day will be DRATINI, I really hope this is true. What do you think about that?”.

Dratini is a Dragon-type Pokémon from the first generation of games and can be evolved via Dragonair into Dragoran, which is one of the best dragon attackers in the game. Furthermore, dragons are not found that often in Pokémon GO, which is why they are very popular with players, mainly because of the platinum medal.

This is also reflected in the comments below the ItsArk post. So some trainers would also be happy about a timely encounter with Dratini (via reddit.com):

• Global-Crew-9046: I’ve got hundreds of Dragonair waiting, so if that’s true, I’m ready. Also, after the Kapuno Community Day, I have to catch more dragons to get the platinum medal.”
• Parking-Ad-1952: “I would love it. I’ve been looking for this shiny since the first community day.”

Opinions against a Community Day with Dratini

But not all players are convinced that Dratini can be found on Community Day in August. That’s because Dratini had its own C-Day back in February 2018. In the past, Niantic has then brought these monsters back into such an event format as part of a special Community Day Classic.

Bisasam and Hydropi were already there, which also had their own C-Day before. That’s why some players are more likely to see Dratini in the next Community Day Classic and would also be happy about the little dragon there.

This also finds level particular 455 and writes on reddit: “Dratini already had a Community Day, it is more likely that they will do a Community Day Classic and then do a second Standard Community Day. But it would be a good choice for a Classic Day.”

However, it is not yet known when the next Community Day Classic will take place. However, Niantic had always hosted an event of this type in previous seasons. Since there was no C-Day Classic during the Season of GO, it would be obvious that this could follow in August.

More guesses for Community Day in August

But Dratini is not the only Pokémon that trainers can imagine for Community Day in August. Galarian Zigzachs and Scythers are particularly popular. This is due in particular to the latest finds in the game code, which show new Galar Pokémon.

But the trainers would also be happy about one or the other monster, like Igamaro. You can on reddit read the following:

• Denarnia: “I think Igamaro in August and Fynx in October for Halloween. I would prefer Lichtel, but unfortunately Fynx fits the Halloween theme.”
