TwitchCon in Amsterdam kicks out controversial streamer - takes his friend's ticket in the live stream

YouTuber Jidion “JiDion” Adams made a name for himself with his hate raid on popular streamer Pokimane in January 2022 and was subsequently permanently banned from Twitch. Since then he has been at the center of several controversies. Now he traveled to TwitchCon EU: In Amsterdam, however, he was unwanted and was expelled from the site.

Who is JiDion?

  • The 21-year-old American has been posting videos on YouTube since 2018 and is best known for vlogs and pranks
  • He has 5.37 million subscribers on YouTube. His most successful video received more than 5 million views.
  • In January 2022, he became a partner on Twitch, but that was short-lived.
  • Just days after becoming a partner, Twitch permanently banned JiDion for his hate raid on Pokimane
  • Despite the ban, he now attended TwitchCon EU in Amsterdam and was promptly kicked out

JiDion is kicked out everywhere: from Twitch, from Wimbledon, from a Furry-Con

JiDion is known for these controversies: Just a few months ago, he was kicked out of a furry convention and received a lifetime ban from Wimbledon after his behavior was caught during a match. (via dexterto)

Arguably his biggest controversy, however, was the hate raid on popular streamer Pokimane, which got him permanently banned from the platform just two days after being made a Twitch partner.

The 21-year-old converts these actions directly into content for his now three channels on YouTube. So it’s not surprising that after his reprimand from TwitchCon EU, which took place on July 16-17, 2022 in Amsterdam, he turned to his fans via Instagram.

JiDion announced in the live stream on Sunday that he and a friend had been at the convention for four hours. But just when they wanted to leave the premises anyway, they were thrown out.

The sack ended up on JiDion’s second channel

You can still see in the stream how an employee approaches the two and also asks the friend to return his ticket. He broke the rules and they didn’t want him back inside.

The YouTuber’s objections that they had already paid and were already about to leave the premises were unsuccessful and finally the ticket is reluctantly returned. Since it was only about admission for one day anyway, the loss can probably be overcome.

The “somewhere unwanted” as the core of the brand

JiDion himself said everything is fine, they’ve been inside and they have a banger video. Footage showing him at the convention has not yet been released.

However, the YouTuber announced he wasn’t done yet. “See you in San Diego!” he called out in farewell, urging Twitch to tighten its security measures.

Misbehaving in a way that gets him locked out seems to be JiDion’s core brand, but he seems to capitalize on that treatment adeptly.

A German Twitch streamer had to find out that security is on the move at TwitchCon. He allowed himself a joke and was banned for 14 days.
