Resident Evil: Fans are picking apart the Netflix series

At the end of last week, Resident Evil, the latest adaptation of a video game, was launched on the Netflix streaming service.

Apart from that, many other adaptations are currently being planned or are in the works – and not only on Netflix – such as The Last of Us, Fallout, Horizon and God of War.

Bad reviews for Resident Evil

So far, the series doesn’t seem to be going down well with fans, at least that’s what the ratings indicate.

on Rotten Tomatoes The critics’ rating is around 50 percent and the audience’s rating is 25 percent, lower than Netflix’s CGI series Resident Evil: Infinite Darkness.

The user rating IMDB is 3.6 stars out of 10 Metacritic the user rating is 1.8 and the metascore is 53.

“Terrible, followed by even more terrible,” reads one comment. “And just when you lose all hope, something even more terrible hits you.”

It is one of Netflix’s lowest-rated series. It remains to be seen to what extent the loud criticism will affect the future of the series.

Have you checked it out yet? What is your conclusion so far?
