Stray: All chapters of the cat adventure
In the cat adventure Stray you have to work your way through a strange and dangerous city as a fluffy four-legged friend. Although the game can be completed in one evening, you will see a few different areas that are divided into different chapters. We have listed here how many chapters await you and what memories you can find in each one.
Warning, spoilers! We won’t reveal any specific content about the game, but the chapter titles sometimes indicate which parts of the city you visit during the course of the game.
That’s all the chapters of Stray
All in all 12 chapters await you in Stray. In some of them you can collect memories that tell you more about the history of the city and your drone companion B-12. How many reminders there are per section can be found in brackets after the respective chapter:
- Inside the Wall
- necropolis
- The apartment (a memory)
- The slums (seven memories)
- The roofs
- The Slums – Part 2 (seven memories, these are the same as in Chapter 4)
- dead end (three memories)
- The sewers (two memories)
- ant village (two memories)
- city center (seven memories)
- prison (a memory)
- control room (a memory)
How much time do you need: Each chapter will take you about 20-30 minutes, for some longer sections like the city center you should plan a bit more time, especially if you want to search for collectibles. You can find out how long Stray will keep you busy here:

How to select a chapter: You can restart any chapter you’ve already completed at any time. To do this, go to the corresponding memory location in the main menu via “Start game” and select “Select chapter”.
