Instead of a permanent price reduction: RTX 3080 12 GB & Co. on sale at NotebooksCheap

from Thilo Bayer
Nvidia’s house and yard partner, Notebooksbilliger.de, is hosting the Geforce Summer Sale with temporary price reductions from RTX 3060 to RTX 3090 Ti.

It can’t all be a coincidence: After PCGH already had the Immediate discount of 350 euros with the Founders Edition of the RTX 3090 Ti at Notebooksbilliger.de and the cashback campaigns from Asus and Gigabyte, there is now one Geforce summer sale at the Nvidia partner NBB – but only for Inno3D cards.

Summer sale instead of a general price reduction

“Up to 900 euros off the RRP on promotional items” are promised. However, these high discounts are not available for individual graphics cards, but for complete PC systems. So there are some RTX computers that used to be 2,800 to 3,000 now have been reduced in price to 2,100 euros. The discounts for notebooks and graphics cards are lower. The campaign at NBB runs from 20.07. until July 27th, while stocks last.

With the RTX 30 graphics cards, the choice is limited to Inno3D cards. If you are no longer interested, you can read on elsewhere. It should not be forgotten that Nvidia is throwing in a new game bundle starting with the RTX 3080. So the RTX 3060 has Twin X2 with 379 euros at NBB the current best price, but no game bonuses. the 469 euros at NBB for the RTX 3060 Ti Twin X2 are also good, but Mindfactory is trolling the action and goes under one euro. There is a similar game with the Inno3D RTX 3070 Twin X2: Here it goes Mindfactory with 568 euros again a euro under the offer of NBB with 569 euros. There is still no troll action for the RTX 3070 Ti X3, which is still the best price at NBB with 669 euros. This also applies to the RTX 3080 X3, which is currently at NBB for 779 euros is advertised – best price at the time of this news.

General price reductions rather unrealistic

At this rate, however, the OC variant with 12 GiB would be worthwhile, which only costs 20 euros more (799 euros at NBB). And don’t forget, the game bundle is also available here. This also applies to the RTX 3080 Ti X3, the with 999 euros at NBB just below the 1,000 mark, if you don’t include the upcoming shipping. That leaves only the RTX 3090 Ti X3 OC, the for 1,499 at NBB is offered (also best price).

Overall, the very special campaign at NBB probably shows one thing: A permanent price reduction on RTX 3000 goods, as has been rumored, is currently rather unrealistic. Nvidia seems to focus much more on selective and time-limited promotions, such as the immediate discount on the RTX 3090 Ti FE, cashback promotions like Gigabyte or now sales promotions like NBB.
