Motorola: Launch date for the Razr 2022 and X30 Pro has been set

Motorola recently announced the launch date for the Razr 2022 and X30 Pro in China. Both the new foldable and the flagship with the 200-megapixel camera will be presented on August 2nd. Motorola is ahead of its competitor Samsung, which will present the Galaxy Z Flip4 and the Galaxy Z Fold4 on August 10th.

Motorola released on the Chinese social media platform Weibo a teaser for the launch event of the two smartphones. There is no official information about the hardware of the two Motorola smartphones yet. However, some rumors are already circulating about their equipment, such as Android Authority reported. The new Motorola Razr is said to have powerful flagship components this time. However, the current Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 will probably not be used, but the predecessor Snapdragon 8 Gen 1. Depending on the model, the main memory is up to 12 GB, while the internal memory should have a fixed size of 512 GB.

The display will probably support a refresh rate of up to 120 Hertz. The camera module is said to consist of a 50-megapixel main camera and a combined wide-angle macro sensor with a resolution of 13 megapixels. The selfie camera is said to offer a resolution of 32 megapixels.

The X30 Pro, previously known as the “Motorola Frontier”, is the first smartphone with a 200-megapixel sensor. In addition to the high-resolution main camera, the X30 Pro is also said to have a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 12-megapixel telephoto camera. In contrast to the Razr 2022, the current Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 should be installed in the X30 Pro. Depending on the model, RAM should be 8 to 12 GB.

Other highlights of the X30 Pro are said to be a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and a battery that supports 125 watt fast charging.
