Ubisoft: Avatar postponed, four games canceled

Ubisoft (Unternehmen) von Ubisoft

The French software giant is struggling, in addition to unsatisfactory quarterly results, there is also the postponement of an important title – four games in development are no longer coming.

The first trailer of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora has already made a very good impression, just in time for the theatrical release of Avatar: The Way of Water in December, the matching game should also find its way to retail shelves. Unfortunately nothing will come of it.

Avatar shifts significantly

As Ubisoft recently announced, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora will be postponed from the end of 2022 to next year, and should now appear between March 2023 or early 2024.

In any case, the development of the game does not seem to be making satisfactory progress. Four other games, which were also in the making, were completely canceled and are no longer appearing at all.

All players who were looking forward to a trip to Splinter Cell via VR glasses are looking into the tube instead. A new Ghost Recon will not be available for the time being either. The two other games that fall victim to the savings measure are not known by name.
