Tactics Ogre: Reborn can easily rank among the gaming industry’s worst-kept secrets.
After several leaks in the past, there is now a new, big leak with lots of information about the still unannounced game.
An appointment and more
As gematsu reports, the details come from the PS Deals page, which usually keeps track of prices on PS Store listings.
Accordingly, Tactics Ogre: Reborn will be released on November 11, 2022 for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Since PS Deals is obviously a PlayStation-focused site, other versions cannot be ruled out, at least not yet.
“The unparalleled detail of the characters and backgrounds from the original Tactics Ogre (1995) have been painstakingly recreated in high definition,” the leaked details read.
Also: “The cross-class level management system used in Tactics Ogre (2010) has been replaced by a per-unit leveling system. Work your way through endless combinations of classes, gear, skills and magic.”
Improvements can also be expected: “Expect numerous playability improvements, such as a faster combat pace, automatic saves and a complete overhaul of the controls and user interface, making it easier than ever to get into the game.”
The only thing missing is the official announcement from Square Enix. It probably won’t be long now.
