Casino streamers use Danny scandal for encouragement – trigger Shitstorm

The Danny scandal continues to occupy the German-speaking Twitch scene. Some streamers caused a shitstorm with their statements on the subject.

Funchal, Madeira – The German-speaking Twitch scene is currently dealing with an ugly topic. After a YouTuber was convicted of raping his ex-girlfriend, a wave of support for the victim erupted on Twitter. Some streamers, known for their casino streams, got involved and were heavily criticized.

Casino streamers question Danny scandal

What happened? YouTuber Danny has been convicted of double rape. As a result, most of the German influencer scene was shocked. A number of content creators from the circle of the convict distanced themselves from him. Close companions such as Papaplatte and T-Low also made emotional statements about Danny.

Outrage over the crime still lingers. Twitch bad boy MontanaBlack called for tougher penalties for rapists in the Danny scandal. There were reactions of outrage and expressions of solidarity for the victim, but also some casino streamers who made questionable comments on the subject.

Which casino streamers are they? The casino streamers are namely OrangeMorange and Scurrows. Both are very controversial in the German-speaking Twitch scene because of their streams. Scurrows criticized MontanaBlack for gambling even though he streams it himself. OrangeMorange, on the other hand, had trouble with xRohat because he thanked God on the stream after winning at gambling.

Casino streamers trigger shitstorm – Twitter discussion derails

Why do casino streamers trigger a shitstorm? The shitstorm against the casino streamers OrangeMorange and Scurrows was triggered by tweets from the two shortly after Danny’s conviction became public knowledge. Scurrows wrote: “Imagine if it were Leon Machere, ApoRed, orangemorange or me the culprit. What do you think Twitter would look like then? And if you know the answer, then you know which one of them is a hypocrite.OrangeMorange shared this post.

The two streamers were referring to the fact that some influencers did not immediately distance themselves from Danny after the verdict became public. Her accusation: A double standard, because casino streamers would be picked on faster than a rapist.

OrangeMorange also expressed its condolences to Danny in a since-deleted tweet: “Danny was in his prime of life and I hope he doesn’t do anything bad to himself“.

The reactions are clear: The statements made by Scurrows and OrangeMorange caused a full-blown shitstorm on Twitter. Many accuse the two casino streamers of using Danny’s rape to put themselves and their own streams in a better light.

Casino streamer OrangeMorange only partially rejects the allegations

This is how OrangeMorange reacted to the allegations: The YouTuber AlphaKevin took up the OrangeMorange shitstorm and published a video in which he summarized the allegations against him. OrangeMorange then released a reaction video in which he also took a stand. The casino streamer did not comment on the allegations that he only wanted attention.

However, OrangeMorange admitted the mistake of first expressing sympathy for the perpetrator before showing solidarity with the victim. In his video he explained: “For me, it just went without saying that I was on their side. So I don’t think anyone in the world is on the side of a rapist.” he says and continues “I just wanted to say that […] he’s been in his prime – apart from that whole rape thing – […] and that I hope he doesn’t kill himself.“

Despite the massive criticism, OrangeMorange’s tweets are all still online. Scurrows, on the other hand, has since made his tweets inaccessible to the general public. Only verified followers can see their posts. Incidentally, this is not the first time someone has tried to take advantage of the situation. Fake tweets from Rewinside and others about the Danny scandal have been circulating.
