There will be no online matchmaking in the Halo Infinite co-op campaign.

If you want to play the Halo Infinite co-op campaign, you won’t find any players through traditional online matchmaking. 343 Industries will not be adding this standard feature to Halo Infinite.

A statement reads that players are instead encouraged to use the LFG search via the Halo Club on console or PC, or the voice calling feature via Discord.

Network features for the Halo Infinite co-op campaign are currently being tested by Insiders. The same applies to the recently announced integration of Discord on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

There will also be no online matchmaking in the final co-op campaign, as was emphasized.

“Online matchmaking will not be available in the final co-op mode. We encourage you to keep using Halo LFG and the new Discord voice calling feature on Xbox to find players to chat with during the beta.”

The developer announced the latest details on the Halo Infinite co-op campaign in mid-July. You can read more about the upcoming Discord integration here.
