The Last of Us in Fortnite? Neil Druckmann says no to current rumors

A crossover between Fortnite and The Last of Us is not to be expected for the time being.

Corresponding rumors that came up last weekend were denied by Naughty Dogs Neil Druckmann on Twitter.

But only fake news

“I love Fortnite… but there are no plans for that. False rumor,” he writes, citing a since-deleted tweet about the rumor.

The rumor originated on the Xbox Era Podcast, where host Nick Baker said he heard Joel and Ellie are set to come to Fortnite for the September launch of the Last of Us Remake.

Druckmann has denied that quite clearly, although of course that doesn’t rule out a possible crossover at a later date.

At the start of the Uncharted film this year, Nathan Drake and other characters appeared in Fortnite.

The Last of Us: Part 1 Remake will be released on September 2, 2022 for PlayStation 5 and later for PC.
